Educators to Meet Here Next Saturday

Leaders and workers in the field of Jewish education, both lay and professional, will gather next Sunday afternoon for the annual conference of the Jewish Education Association, it was announced Friday, by Bernard Somel, honorary secretary of the organization.

The conference will be featured by an address by Dr. Abraham A. Neuman, rabbi of the Congregation Mikveh Israel of Philadelphia. Dr. Neuman will take for his theme the relation of Jewish values and ideals to current changes and problems.

Outstanding problems of Jewish education will be discussed in a series of brief reports. They will deal with the statistics of children registered in the Jewish schools, the attitude of parents to the Jewish education of their children, the financial, administrative and pedagogic problems of the school the elevation of standards through the licensing of teachers, etc. Progress in organizing Jewish mothers for self-education and for the Jewish education of their children will be reviewed by a representative of Ivriah, Women’s Division of the Jewish Education Association.
