The German government has agreed to submit the case of the kidnaped German-Jewish journalist Berthold Jacob to the International Court at The Hague, it was announced here today.

The decision is the result of a demand by the Swiss government that Germany either return Jacob to Switzerland, whence he was kidnaped, or consent to have the case tried before the Tribunal at The Hague on the basis of the German – Swiss International Agreement.

The Swiss government, in demanding the return of Jacob, insisted that this agreement was violated by the kidnaping of a Swiss resident in Switzerland with the assistance of German spies.
