The Palestine government was threatened today with Arab demonstrations if it does not cease to facilitate Jewish immigration.
The threat was sounded in the form of a resolution adopted today at a conference here of Arab youth.
The Federation of Arab Youth in Palestine intends also to send a delegation to High Commissioner Wauchope in connection with the immigration problem. The Federation insists that the Palestine government is adopting too liberal a policy towards Jewish immigration.
PLAN CURB
In the meantime it became known today that the Palestine government is considering ways and means of checking Jewish immigration, independent of the Arab threats. Definite plans are being laid by the government to prevent the entry of more than one person on a labor certificate.
An investigation is now being considered by the Palestine government as to the actual number of Jewish immigrants who entered on labor certificates with their wives. It is on the basis of this investigation that the government will decide whether the number of immigration visas for Jews under the labor schedule should be increased or decreased in the future.
