Rabbi Victor Eppstein of the Madison Avenue Temple has been elected chairman of the Scranton Governmental Study Committee, formed for the purpose of advocating progressive revision of the Pennsylvania State Constitution and the Charter of the City of Scranton.
The committee, which is made up of sixty of the most prominent citizens of the community, also includes four other Jews, I. E. Oppenheim, M. L. Goodman, A. B. Cohen, and Ralph Levy.
