A wave of anti-Jewish riots in which many Jews were injured was reported today from many cities in Poland to the Warsaw office of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency.
In addition to last week’s riots in Grodno, during which sixty Jews were reported injured, anti-Jewish disturbances broke out in the last two days in the city of Suwalki and in the township of Racionz, near Warsaw.
More than twenty were injured in Suwalki Sunday evening where an organized group of Polish youths began to attack Jews on the streets and to smash the windows of Jewish homes. Among the injured was Dr. Staropolski, vice-president of the Suwalki Jewish Community.
