Theod# Loewy, the correspondent of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency in Danzig who was arrested three days ago by the Nazi-controlled administration of the Free City without reason being given, was release today upon the intervention of Sea Lester, the League’s High Commissioner in Danzig, and the America Consul here.

Mr. Loewy was ordered to lea# Danzig within three days.

During his arrest Mr. Loewy was held incommunicado. No lawy### was permitted to see him. T## place of his detention was n### given out by the authorities.

Mr. Loewy is a Latvian citizen. He has been residing in Danzig ### many years and was the editor the Danziger Echo, the only Jew### newspaper appearing there in ### German language. His reports the Nazi activities in Danzig a### assumed to be the reason for ### arrest.
