As a result of Palestine’s prosperity, hard-feeling between the Jews and Arabs is diminishing, according to Dr. Cyrus H. Gordon of the American School for Oriental Research in Baghdad, who addressed a meeting of local Zionists.

“Palestine is the most prosperous country in the world today,” Dr. Gordon declared. “There is no unemployment problem. In fact, labor is scarce in some sections so that Jewish industrialists have to hire Arabs, and a better understanding has been the result.”

He also pointed out that the Palestine government is maintaining all necessary functions with full payrolls and piling up treasury surpluses every year.
