The split in the ranks of the World Union of General Zionists was deplored today by Dr. I. Scwhartzbard, president of the Union, in a statement issued to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency.

“Losing one battle does not mean losing the entire war,” says Dr. Schwartzbard in his statement.

Dr. Schwartzbard invites the leaders of the General Zionist Group B, the world over, to reestablish unity at the next World Zionist Congress in Lucerne. Dr. Schwartzbard resigned his presidency when the world conference here broke up following an all-night debate over the question of starting a General Zionist labor party similar to the Histadruth.
