The Fourth of July is being celebrated this year as never before. Every hotel has some special program planned. At the Flagler, the first annual Sullivan County table tennis championship tournament will be held under the supervision of Saul Schiff, world’s table tennis champion. He is taking entries at the New York Table Tennis Association, 1721 Broadway, New York City. Matches will be played on week-ends during the month of July, and the finals will be held on July 28 at the Flagler.

The Ambassador at Fallsburg is arranging a four-day July Fourth holiday excursion at extremely low cost. Hyman Merl, managing director, has arranged this trip. Automobile transportation will be used from New York and return. A luncheon will be served en route.

At Scaroon Manor in the Adirondacks, Joseph Freiber has built a new open-air amphitheatre where plays and musicals are presented under the direction of Tyler Mason, and a cast headed by Grace Johnson, musical comedy and radio star.

Irving Schurach, character dancer recently in the Theatre Guild’s “Parade,” heads a list of celebrities at the Fourth of July theatrical celebration at the Pine-wood Hotel, Fleischmann’s, N. Y.

At Sha-wan-ga Lodge Rex Weber, musical comedy star, will head the list of entertainers.

Mrs. Jennie Grossinger was so pleased with the contest letters received from Jewish Daily Bulletin readers that in addition to the first prizes of a full week at the Grossinger Hotel and Country Club, she is giving two special week-end prizes. The winners of the first prizes are Samuel Feir, New York City; Miss Cecille G. Levitt, Minneapolis, Minn.; the winners of the two special week-end prizes are Miss Gertrude Fleisher, Brooklyn, N. Y.; and Mrs. N. H. Wittstein, Mt. Vernon, N. Y.

The Hotel President Monroe, on Walton Lake, Monroe, N. Y.; “in the heart of the Ramapo Mountains,” will open its doors for the Summer season Friday. The gala celebration opening will be July 3.
