Jew to Represent Egypt at Language Congress

Max Maverhof, a Jew and a leading authority on Oriental languages, was today chosen to represent the Institute of Egypt at the forthcoming Congress of Orientalists which will take place in Rome.

Raphael al Adjem, another Jew and a high official in the Ministry of Agriculture, has been made an officer of the Academic Francaise by the French Government, it was also announced.
