Buffalo Man Named to Kashruth Board

Max M. Yellen, well known Buffalo Jewish communal worker, president of the Buffalo Council of Jewish Congregations and member of the Board of Education of the City of Buffalo, has been named a member of the advisory board of seven on Kashruth enforcement for the State of New York.

Mr. Yellen is to serve together with six Rabbis who will plan a state-wide organization as provided in the recently enacted Schanzer bill which permits a $25,000 appropriation for extending the Kashruth inspection service.

Other members of the Advisory Board include: Dr. Leo Jung, New York City, chairman: Rabbi Jeremiah Berman, Rochester, N. Y.; Dr. Max Drob and Rabbi Nachman Ebin of New York City; Dr. M. L. Isaacs of Yonkers, N. Y. and Rabbi M. Schuchatowitz, Edgemere, L. I.

The first meeting of the board was held yesterday in the offices of the Department of Agriculture and Markets in Albany.
