The article, written by a special correspondent who visited Transjordan, pointed out that the Palestine government is tempted to start the gradual admission of foreign capital into Transjordan in order to develop the country.

“At the same time the Palestine government hesitates to grant permits for the sale of land in Transjordan to foreign citizens,” the correspondent added.

The writer explained this hesitancy by citing the fear of the Palestine administration that, if land were sold in Transjordan to foreigners, the present gradual process of the development of the country might be disturbed.
