The American Youth Congress, claiming to represent 1,350,000 youths in the United States, demanded that the American Olympic Committee rescind its decision to participate in the Berlin games next year, in a resolution made public today by its National Council.

The conviction was expressed “that the holding of the Olympic games in Nazi Germany is a violation of the spirit of fraternity, fair-play and sportsmanship embodied in the Olympic pledge.”

The Amateur Athlethic Union was asked in the resolution to investigate conditions in Germany and all youth organizations were requested to boycott the Olympics if they are held in Germany.

The Council also voted to send a delegation to visit the national and district offices of the A.A.U.

Meanwhile, the Christian Century, one of the most influential Protestant journals in the country, came out today with an editorial demanding that the Olympic games be transferred from Berlin in protest against religious persecutions.
