The threat of abolition hung over all minorities’ schools in Bukovina today as a result of the order issued to all school inspectors in the district demanding the compulsory use of the Rumanian languages in all public schools.

This decision is viewed with great apprehension by the Jewish Community here, which only a few weeks ago was victorious in a dramatic lawsuit against the Minister of Public Worship, who sought to abrogate the autonomy of the Jewish Community.
