A boycott against German ships was today urged by the Netherland Union of Merchants for Dry and Tropical Fruits and Spices.

The merchants’ organization decided, as a protest against the new “ghetto laws” in Germany, to request their customers not to ship goods by German boats. “This action,” the decision reads, “will demonstrate to foreign ports that Dutch civilization is outraged by the oppression of minorities.”
