Renouveau, training farm for German-Jewish refugees in southern France established and directed by Dr. Dmitri Marianoff, has been turned over to the World Mizrachi Organization, Dr. Marianoff announced here today.
The Mizrachi Organization, through its French branch, will operate the farm as a training center for chalutzim before they are sent to Palestine. Refugees will continue to make up the bulk of Renouveau’s student farmers, who will be trained in accordance with orthodox Mizrachi principles. Between 30 and 40 refugees are in training at Renouveau.
Dr. Marianoff, a son-in-law of Prof. Albert Einstein, announced that he had turned over operation of the farm to Mizrachi because he is establishing his residence in the United States. He is retaining secretaryship of the project. Lord Melchett is president and Prof. Einstein honorary chairman of Renouveau.
