A warning against premature mass immigration to Ecuador was issued today by the Hilfsverein der Deutschen Juden, leading German-Jewish philanthropic society.

The warning points out that experts are now investigating the possibilities of settling Jews in Ecuador but they are as yet not ready to submit a report. This report, it is expected will be issued next month.

The Hilfsverein, the statement emphasizes, is eager to effect as early as possible the transfer of Jewish groups to Ecuador, but a careful approach to the entire problem is held necessary because it is not as yet certain whether mass emigration to Ecuador is altogether possible. The land, it is pointed out by the Hilfsverein, has proved good for plantations, but European settlements have hitherto been unsuccessful in Ecuador because of the lack of roads, the adverse climatic conditions and other difficulties.
