The growing scarcity of certain foodstuffs in the Reich had an echo here when it was learned today that the German consul has ordered German nationals throughout Lithuania to send food parcels during the Christmas period to Germany.

Each parcel, according to the consul’s order, must contain a certain proportion of fats. The postal receipts signed by recipients of the parcels will be delivered to the consul to attest that the German here has made his contribution.
