Chicago Charities Budget Set at $1,355,834

The Jewish Charities of Chicago has adopted a $1,355,834 budget for 1936, $50,000 more than last year, it was announced today by Frank L. Sulzberger, president. He ascribed the increase to higher food costs, salary adjustments and greater work by affiliated organizations. More than 75,000 persons were aided through the organization, he said.
