Dr. Franz Meyer, German Zionist leader, said today that the situation of the Jews in Poland will soon overshadow the Jewish situation in Germany.

His statement was made at a press conference held in connection with the first all-German Zionist conference since Hitler’s accession to power, opening this Sunday.

Dr. Meyer disclosed that the World Zionist Executive in London had been active in preparing the plans for the visit to the United States of Sir Herbert Samuel, member of a delegation of three British Jews.

He emphasized that if Sir Herbert’s plan for expatriating German Jews is successful, the cooperation of non-Zionist groups is guaranteed. The Zionist leader expressed the hope that Sir Herbert would return from America with a definite plan.
