George Wadsworth Named American Counsul in Jerusalem

The State Department told the Jewish Telegraphic Agency today that George Wadsworth has been appointed American counsul-general at Jerusalem to replace Ely Palmer. He will take up his duties some time during April and meanwhile is returning to the United States for a vacation. The assignment was made on December 10.
