A protest by American visitors to the Winter Olympics against the hanging of an anti-Semitic sign above a Christian holy figure in a town square was reported by Julius Streicher’s newspaper, Der Stuermer, today. The paper dismissed the incident as a “Jewish protest.”
Americans passing through the town of Ithoven on route to Garmisch-partenkirchen objected to a Stuermer sign hung above a holy figure appealing to the Saint for “relief from lice and Jews,” the paper stated.
