A crisis in the affairs of this all. Jewish city was created today by the resignation of Vice-Mayor Israel Rokach. He said he would resume his post only on condition that he and Mayor Meier Dizengoff were empowered to approve budgets of all departments.

A meeting of the Centre bloc in the Municipal Council decided to urge Mayor Dizengoff to support Rokach’s stand, threatening that otherwise all non-Labor department heads would resign their posts.
