Soldiers in the Reichswehr seeking promotion will have to present their own, their parents’ and their grand-parent’s birth certificates to the military authorities, it is officially announced in the new Army regulations.
Since Jews are not admitted into the Army, this provision only affects those “non-Aryans” who are serving in the Reichswehr since before the introduction of the “Aryan” clause, as well as those “non-Aryans” who belong to the category of “quarter-Jews,” who are permitted to serve in the ranks only.
