British Fund for Polish Jews Gets $50,000

A contribution of $50,000 from the Federation of Synagogues to the fund for ameliorating the economic condition of the Polish Jews was announced yesterday by Joseph Meller at a meeting of the Board of Deputies of British Jews, bringing the fund to a total of $225,000.

Sir Robert Waley-Cohen, chairman of the Palestine Corporation, was elected vice-president of the board to succeed Sir Isidore Salmon.
