It was reliably learned today that the British Foreign Office has sent a communique to the Polish Government in connection with a bill in the Polish Parliament which would ban kosher slaughtering.

The Foreign Office was understood to have taken great interest in the Polish measure after a visit from Dr. J.H. Hertz, chief rabbi of England, who presented a memorandum denouncing the proposed ban as a danger to the Jewish religion.
