A Jewish war veteran who won distinction on the battlefield and whose three brothers were killed fighting for Germany in the World War was today under sentence by a Leipzig court to serve one year in jail for “Rassenschande,” or race defilement. He had refused to give up his friendship with an “Aryan” working woman whom he had known since 1932.
