Nazi Scientists Get U.S. Rejection Slips-einstein Blamed

The Kielnischer Zeitung, complaining bitterly that American scientific publications no longer accept articles by German scientists, lays responsibility for this situation at the door of Professor Albert Einstein.

The Cologne newspaper charged that the exiled German-Jewish scientist, now living in the United States, has aroused American opinion against German science.

“Three years ago,” the paper states, “it was a simple thing for a German biologist to place an article in an American magazine. Today, things are quite different, articles by German scientists either being rejected or completely edited.”
