A thousand representatives of Jewish civic, philanthropic and labor organizations in this city last night adopted a resolution protesting anti-Jewish excesses in Poland. A “folk’s banquet” on May 24 will culminate the local drive for $75,000 to aid the Polish Jews. Speakers included Morton Witkin, County Commissioner, who represented Mayor S. Davis Wilson; Rabbi J. Gerson Brenner; Abraham Siler and Z. Tygel, director of the American Committee Appeal for Poland.
