Further regulations governing the transfer of capital from Germany to Palestine, applying to “Account Number One,” which includes the transactions of German Jews emigrating to Palestine have been made public here. They permit the following transactions:
1. The sum of 200 marks monthly may be sent to Palestine from Germany for the support of German Jewish students studying there.
2. Up to 500 marks monthly may be sent for the support of German Jews residing in Palestine.
3. German Jews who emigrated to Palestine independently and took from Germany “only comparatively small sums which are insufficient for the establishment of an independent economic existence” can have more of their capital transferred providing they obtain a certificate from the German consulate in Palestine. Applications involving more than 10,000 marks, however, must secure the approval of the Reich currency authorities.
