Mrs. Sternberger Praises Ort Schools

Mrs. Estelle Sternberger, executive director of World Peaceways, declared Saturday at a luncheon of the Women’s American ORT in the Hotel Astor that “while malicious propagandists throw dust into the eyes of their fellow-citizens by weird stories of Jewish plots to dominate this earth, the ORT builds school after school to train Jewish workers and artisans to be humble but respected men, women and youth in the ranks of world industry.

Other speakers were George Backer, president of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency, who recently returned from a survey of the Jewish position in European countries; Dr. Henry Moskowitz, chairman of the ORT Federation’s board of directors; Mrs. Florence Dolowitz, retiring president of the women’s group, who was guest of honor and Dr. David Lvovitch, vice-president of the World ORT Union.
