The Polska Kasa Opieki, semi-official Polish bank, was besieged today by depositors seeking to withdraw their accounts in view of the currency restrictions enacted by Poland.
Approximately 1,000 tourists are returning to Poland tomorrow, since the bank has refused to pay out to them more than 250 zlotys monthly on their letters of credit.
