A total of 853,000 trees have been planted in eleven districts in Palestine during the current season, it is reported in the March issue of the Commercial Bulletin, official org an of the customs department. Gaza led all other districts with 185,000 trees planted, Tiberias was next with 165,000 plantings.
The Bulletin discloses that nearly 300,000 young trees are being issued to schools, institutions, villages and individuals free of charge this season.
