The Ministry of Religions accepted today the resignation of A. Mazur as president of the Warsaw Jewish Community. The Ministry ordered new elections to be held in Polish Jewish communities next September. The resignation had been submitted as a protest against the law restricting shechita, Jewish ritual method of slaughtering animals for human consumption.
