The Arab Supreme Council formed to direct the anti-Jewish general strike was reported today moving to organize anti-Jewish activities in other Arab countries if the Palestine Government does not accede to demands for restrictions on Jews by this Friday.
By decision of the council, Arab delegates proceeded to Egypt, Syria, Morocco and Irak for the reported purpose of launching demonstrations against the Jews in those countries unless Palestine halts Jewish immigration and sale of land to Jews and sets up a national government, as demanded in an Arab ultimatum.
Simultaneously, Arab leaders left Jerusalem to address Arab mass meetings throughout the country. A meeting of 150 Arab leaders had decided to launch a country-wide propaganda drive to press the general strike. A campaign of civil disobedience, non-payment of taxes and a boycott of everything Jewish is scheduled to go into effect Friday.
