Sir Arthur Grenfell Wauchope, British High Commissioner for Palestine, declared in a broadcast address last night that no acts of violence nor the Arab general strike would deflect the government one jot from its determination to discharge fully its obligations under the League of Nations mandate.
He spoke on the occasion of the celebration of Empire Day at the Levant Fair. The international exhibition, which opened April 29, is scheduled to close next Friday.
