Arab snipers fired on a military plane near Mitlin today, an official communique reported. The pilots returned the fire, wounding one of the attackers.

Police dispersed a demonstration of fifty Arab youths in front of the Central Post office in Jerusalem, arresting two of the ring-leaders.

The Jew killed in the ambush between Tiberias and Rosh Pina (reported on page 1) was Abraham Mizrachi. Three others were injured.

An attack on the Jewish settlement of Kfar Etzion this evening was beaten off by settlers aided by military reinforcements. Workers repairing damages at the Dead Sea and their convoy were fired on. The escort replied. No casualties were reported.

A bridge on the Jerusalem-Jericho road was damaged by an explosion.

Mizrachi, 28, was a resident of Safed and father of three children. Burial will be held before dawn by order of the authorities. The ambush occurred at Gib Yosef near Rosh Pina. The convoy routed the attackers after a fifteen-minute battle and escorted the bus to Safed where the injured were given first aid.
