The Times reported today that 200 Jews had become ill and one died in the poorest section of Jerusalem from eating decayed fruit and vegetables or stale fish. (The New York Times said the police were taking statements from those stricken as a preliminary to further investigation. Most of those affected are of the classes who usually buy food from street merchants.)
