The tenth anniversary conference of the World Union for Progressive Judaism opened here today with three American delegates in attendance, Rabbi Friedman of Denver, Rabbi Gordon of St. Louis and Rabbi Rauch of Louisville.

Speaking at a round-table meeting, Rabbi Gordon declared there was no real conflict between orthodox and progressive Judaism and suggested that liberal Jews differed from rabbis of the past only in method and not in principle.
