The international conference of the Agudath Israel, world orthodox Jewish organization, today adopted a resolution expressing indignation at the Arab excesses in Palestine, the hope that peaceful cooperation with the Arabs is possible and satisfaction with Great Britain’s determination to uphold the Balfour Declaration.
Another resolution declares the World Jewish Congress, which opens in Geneva Saturday night, has no right to represent the Jewish people, but is necessary to centralize Jewish social institutions.
The executive was empowered to convoke an Agudist congress in Jerusalem next Spring, with an unnamed European city as an alternative if that site is impossible.
