An immediate drive to raise $125,000 as an emergency fund for Palestine Jews was launched last night by the United States Central Shekel Board at a meeting called by all Zionist groups at the Hotel Pennsylvania. More than 300 persons attended.
A resolution was adopted asserting that only mass opinion, expressed through a successful shekel drive, will force the British government to protect the rights of Jews and their privileges in Palestine.
