London Mayors Act to Bar Mosley Parades, Rallies

The mayors of the East London boroughs are planning a united appeal to Sir John Simon, Home Secretary, to prohibit four proposed Fascist marches and meetings in the East End next Sunday, it was disclosed today.

A warning that “something serious will happen” was issued by Mayor Roberts, referring to a proposed march of Sir Oswald Mosley’s Black-shirts on Whitechapel.
