Zionist leaders communicated today with the executive of the Jewish Agency for Palestine in Jerusalem urging it to intervene in connection with curtailments on tourist travel to the Holy Land.
An exchange of cables between Jerusalem and Berlin revealed that the Agency’s Executive had not been informed of the institution of a policy among British consulates curbing issuance of tourist visas.
The Juedische Rundschau, organ of the German Zionists, reported that “energetic efforts are being made by the responsible offices to establish whether the stoppage of tourist travel has been prompted by political or purely administrative motives.”
