The Uruguayan Parliament today had under consideration a Government bill prohibiting all publication and radio broadcasts in languages not taught in the public schools.
Under the proposed law, to continue publishing all such periodicals and newspapers must appear in Spanish translation.
The bill is believed anti-Semitic in intent, since Yiddish is virtually the only language not taught in the public schools.
