3 Dead, Property Toll Heavy in Palestine Floods

Floods caused by heavy rains during the past five days have resulted in three deaths, serious damages to rail-roads and private property and have interrupted communications between various cities.

An Arab woman was drowned near Gaza and an Arab lost his life while traveling on a donkey near Safed. A Jewish boy in Tel Aviv was killed when a concrete wall, undermined by the rains, collapsed as he was passing.

Many Jaffa houses, weakened by the uninterrupted deluge, will be demolished by the authorities during the week, it was announced.

Telephone wires linking various cities and lines to Egypt have been damaged by the storms.
