Ireland Permits Ritual Slaughter

The official Gazette announced that starting today humane slaughtering of cattle by use of specially approved instruments will be enforced. Exemptions are provided for Jews, who practice shechita, ritual method of slaughtering animals which experts have conceded to be humane.
