Maurici Mayzel, Government-appointed commissar for Jewish communal affairs in Warsaw, will take up his duties Monday, it was announced today. The commissariat will be aided by an “advisory board” of twelve Jews appointed by the authorities.

Mr. Mayzel, formerly a member of the Jewish National Bloc, was appointed commissar after the Government had dissolved the elected communal council, thereby ending the autonomy of the largest Jewish community in Europe. All Jewish groups except the extreme orthodox Agudath Israel have decided to boycott the new “advisory board.”
