Music and funds for the Hebrew University library to enable it to become a world center of Oriental and Jewish musical culture were asked today by the library committee of Mailamm, American organization to promote Jewish music.
The library is used for research and circulation. Demands on it have increased recently as a result of the influx of German Jews and use of its works by the Palestine radio station. The library needs symphonic, chamber, church, vocal and modern music, as well as books on the history and science of music.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
