Threaten Seizure of Ships to Secure Bernstein’s Release

The Associated Press reported today from Berlin that seizure of the Red Star and Bernstein Lines’ ships to satisfy Americans’ $5,000,000 mortgage claims on the lines appeared a possibility unless the German secret police released Arnold Bernstein, the companies’ president, to operate the lines.
