A new Palestine defense order-in-council will be made public in the course of the coming week, it was disclosed here today. It will clarify the situation created by adverse rulings of Palestine courts in which certain Government powers, such as requisition of property, were challenged.

The order will re-enact as one order those issued in 1931 and 1936. It was made necessary, it was pointed out, not because of the new disorders in the Holy Land, but because the court rulings had made illegal Government acts under the 1931 order-in-council, which the Government had intended to continue in effect.

In addition to renewing the 1931 and 1936 decrees, the new edict will also sanction Government actions under the 1931 order.
